For the Brooklyn Museum project, the core concept revolves around the creation of a restorative and intentional public space. The main goal was to transform the museum's grounds into a welcoming urban sanctuary that complements the institution's cultural mission.
The design highlights the use of natural materials like hickory beams and marble chip gravel, alongside native, perennial plantings selected to create a thriving habitat for pollinators. By blending these essential plants with thoughtful architectural elements and sculpture, the space becomes a dynamic and meaningful intersection of art and nature. It’s an immersive landscape that encourages quiet contemplation while also serving as a vibrant community hub.
