This sucker was heavy and had to be reduced for mobility.  It rained saw dust for a couple days in that driveway.   You should have scene some of the looks I got standing on top of that beast with a 24″ chain saw.   I made the rocking chair so it could get through any apartment.  Nothing went to waste with this log, the extra slabs went to friends.  This lumber yard specializes in trees cut down for urban developement.  Generally those trees are turn into fire wood, mulch or would be dumped.  Now days, more urban milling is happening and should be pursued .  Going green is more than a label on product, try and by local and know your vendors.
